Neil MacKay and Co Ltd will take on the contract for finishing the first phase of works on Lews Castle.

The decision was made yesterday (Wednesday 13th) by the Lews Castle Board who decided on the local firm to complete the work.

At the end of 2012 Lews Castle project was left in limbo with the downfall of Irish firm Patton.

The main works on the castle will go out to tender in May this year.
