Police arrest man in connection with alleged sexual assault

A man has appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court in connection to an alleged sexual offence that was initially reported to the Stornoway Sheriff Court by Stornoway Police.

Cameron Ross, 27, appeared at court in Inverness on August 21st and was released on bail. A plea is yet to be made and the case has been committed for further examination.

A police spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that, on Wednesday 20th August 2014 a 27 year-old man was arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault at an address in Stornoway on July 18th 2014.”
