Police ask drivers to be vigilant

Police are asking motorists on the island to be vigilant whilst driving due adverse weather conditions.

Roads is Lewis and Harris have been gritted as a priority tonight as temperatures are expected to drop with the high possibility of ice on the roads.

Police are reminding drivers to allow extra time for journeys and to drive carefully.
