The Earl and Countess of Wessex were the star guests to Stornoway today (Tuesday, May 20) as they visited the town.
Visiting a host of community groups and Duke of Edinburgh Awards’ groups and volunteers in the Stornoway Town Hall.
The Earl and Countess also visited the Harris Tweed Authority, officially opened The Shed, a newly completed youth and family community centre at the rear of Martin’s Memorial Church and they visited the Drill Hall where they were initially met by a guard of honour before meeting representatives of the Western Isles Guiding and Brownies, the Scouts, Beavers and Cubs, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Royal National Mission for Deep Sea Fishermen and the
Stornoway Branch of the British Legion.
