Following continued operations on site throughout the day BEAR Scotland are pleased to advise that traffic management on the A835 east of Ullapool is in the process of being removed. This is after the removal of around 1500T of debris cast over the A835 Trunk Road during the storm event on Monday.
The next step will be the completion of the culvert clearance works followed by the assessment of any further works that will be necessary to improve the flood resilience of this location in future. This will be undertaken in discussion with The Highland Council and landowners in respect to watercourse management.
BEAR Scotland would like to thank road users for their patience and understanding during this event and especially thank Calmac Ferries for their cooperation.
