UPDATE: Ferries disrupted

There is major disruption on the ferry network today (Friday) with many services being cancelled.

MV Isle of Lewis left Stornoway this morning at 8.44am and is due to arrive in Ullapool at 11.26am. All other scheduled sailings between Stornoway and Ullapool have been cancelled for today.

The delayed 8.15am sailing from Berneray to Leverburgh departed at 9:15am and is estimated to arrive in Leverburgh at 10:15am.

Sailings on the Oban-Lochboisdale-Castlebay service are cancelled for the day.

The 7.15am and 9.25am sailings from Barra to Eriskay were cancelled this morning as well as the 8.20am and 10.15am sailings from Eriskay. With no improvement in weather conditions the 11:10am sailing from Barra and the 1pm sailing from Eriskay are now Cancelled. Next review at 15:00hrs.

Sailings on the Uig-Tarbert-Lochmaddy route are on amber alert which means they could be subject to disruption.

Meanwhile this morning Leverburgh Lifeboat has been called out to an incident but no further details are available.
