Welcome for Ferry Infrastructure meeting

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has welcomed the outcome of today’s meeting between the Transport Minister and Stornoway Port Authority on the infrastructure requirements for the new Stornoway-Ullapool ferry.

Chair of the Transport and Infrastructure Committee, Cllr John Mackay, said; “It is very much to be welcomed that the Minister has agreed to look further at the Stornoway ferry infrastructure requirements and that the Minister has listened to the representations made by the Stornoway Port Authority (SPA) on safety concerns and ferry turnaround times.
