Musical pupils from the Western Isles picked up four Gold medals at the Royal National Mòd on Saturday.
Lauren Anne Maclean of Sgoil Shiaboist took gold in the Keyboard Open 13-18; Gillian Maclean was first in the Melodeon U13 taking home the Salar Flaky Smoked Salmon Trophy; and Mairi Maclennan of Sgoil Mhicneacail was the winner of the Melodeon U19 competition picking up the Hebrides Haulage Trophy.
Calum Craib of Bun Sgoil Bhaile a‘Mhanaich was the winner of the Bagpipes U13 competition taking home the Roderick Ross, Ferintosh, Memorial Trophy.
Other prizewinners from the islands were: Graham Maclennan from Lewis who took 3rd in Accordion Music, March Strathspey and Reel; Craig Macleod, Sgoil Mhicneacail was 3rd in the Accordion Open U19; Lauren Anne Maclean, Sgoil Shiaboist was 2nd in the Melodeon U19 with Catriona Bain, Sgoil Mhicneacail in 3rd.
Isabelle Bain, Sgoil Mhicneacail was 3rd in the Piano Open 13-18.
