The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland will be once again bringing its young members to Stornoway and conduct a one day workshop open to all young pipers and drummers in the region.
The workshop will cater for all levels of ability from complete beginners to the more advanced and will be held at the Stornoway Primary School on September 21st, running from 10am to 2.45pm.
The visit will give local aspiring pipers and drummers the opportunity to meet other young pipers and drummers from around the country and to learn some new music, as well as pick up any tips to hopefully help on improving their own playing.
The workshop is free to everyone so all they have to do is register through the website which can be found at http://www.thepipingcentre.co.uk/national-youth-pipe-band/outreach/outer-hebrides/
The band will also be performing a small evening concert in the main hall at Stornoway Primary School on Friday, September 20th, which is open for the general public starting at 8pm.
Tickets will be sold at the door for £5 with children under 5 free.
