Following the tragic death of its long serving Presbytery Clerk, Rev Tom Sinclair, Lewis Presbytery of the Church of Scotland has appointed a new Clerk.
Mr John Cunningham, an Elder in St Columba’s (Old Parish) Church, Stornoway, takes up the role this week.
Mr Cunningham has just completed two terms as Moderator of Lewis Presbytery, during which he worked closely with Rev Sinclair.
He has been an Elder in the Church of Scotland for 20 years and currently serves on several central Church Committees.
Mr Cunningham lives in Stornoway with his family of three young boys and brings a background of Public Sector administration to the role.
