A derelict house in Stornoway could become the site of a new community building.
The Pakistan Social and Cultural Association have submitted plans for a new community building to the council.
The proposals are for redevelopment of a former dwelling house which is currently lying in a derelict condition. The plans involve partial demolition of the existing structure and construction of a new roof and extension.
The proposed development will be the first purpose built facility in the Western Isles designed to allow the Pakistani community to gather in one place to celebrate family and cultural events.
