It has raised the bar once again as the recently released new COAST EP, ‘Dancing with Satellites’, hits the mark with fans.
From the coastal waters of their home town in Southampton, England, COAST comes with a tone the is both melodic and emotively powerful as the band delivers its unique brand of Celtic rock.
Much has changed since COAST began in 2008, however. They had a prolific rise into the public arena with concerts given at Tonder Festival, Denmark, in both 2010 and 2011; while other festival appearances took them across Scotland, Denmark, England, Germany and Norway from which audiences left wanting more of the evocative Celtic sound.
And a 2011 highlight saw the band playing before a Cologne audience of 14,000 in support of Bryan Adams.
They released debut album ‘COAST’ in 2009, followed by second album ‘The Turning Stone’ in 2011 – both packed with songs that have become classic firm favourites.
Released in 2012, ‘Believe’ was their third work – an EP of three tracks which reflected the mood of the band at the time; which had belief and an outlook defining where ‘COAST’ wanted to be musically.
‘COAST’ have great pride in their Celtic rock roots, lead singer Paul Eastham lived in North Uist for a time during his childhood; however time has seen them change and reflect, bringing them to where they are now – passionate and eager to bring their material to a new and wider audience.
And they hope to do that with latest EP ‘Dancing with Satellites’ which the band are proud to have been able to record and produce with the expertise of James Sanger for Vibey Studios and Vibey Developments in France.
The bar has been raised yet again with this EP and the continuing journey of this band is one that shouldn’t be missed!
