A new era for sporting enthusiasts began this afternoon (Friday) at Back Football and Recreation Club as the all weather enclosed Back Sports Arena was officially opened.
The opening kicks off another chapter in the history and ongoing development of of the club and adds yet another facility to the array of resources available at the Upper Coll Recreation Centre.
More than 100 hundred guests, including Island politicians MSP Alasdair Allan and MP Angus MacNeil, attended the opening ceremony.
A plaque to commemorate the event was unveiled by the Honorary President of Back Football Club Calum Iain Graham.
And Island youngsters soon got to work showing off the effectiveness of the pitch with their footballing skills.
