Police name man killed in island road accident

Police have today (Sunday) named the man who died in the one vehicle road traffic collision on the Isle of Lewis yesterday.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that the person who died in the one vehicle road traffic collision on the Isle of Lewis yesterday was 42 year old Angus Chisholm.

“Mr Chisholm, who was from the Carloway area on the island, was riding a motorcycle at the time of the incident.

“The collision occurred shortly before 1.30pm on Saturday 6 June 2015, on the A858 Stornoway to Barvas Road near to the Brue Junction.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal, as is usual procedure in fatal road traffic collisions.”
