Getting engaged puts most couples on top of the world, but still some like to go even higher.
The top of the National Wallace Monument in Stirling was chosen by at least 20 romantics as the place to pop the questions last year.
And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the tourist attraction is expecting that more people could get down on one knee.
Kate Crawford, a member of the management team at the Wallace Monument said: “The stunning 360-degree views from the Crown of the Monument show off the best of central Scotland and the Highlands to the north and the Monument’s enduring history and beauty make it an ideal location, filled with romance, to pop the question.”
The Monument hasn’t just been the setting for proposals; it has also been used as a unique wedding venue.
Kate added: “We have had an increased number of wedding enquiries at the Monument and hosted five ceremonies in 2015 - it’s something we are happy to accommodate when we can.”
