The Loopallu Festival team are delighted to announce Reed as the latest addition to the 2013 Festival line-up.
Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year Reef have had three top ten albums, including 1997’s ‘Glow’ which stormed the UK charts, hitting the number one spot.
With a string of hit singles including, ‘Come Back Brighter’, ‘Consideration’, ‘Yer Old’ and the one and only ‘Place Your Hands’; frontman Gary Stringer who had one of the most distinct voices of the nineties and the band are guaranteed to provide one of the biggest sing-alongs Loopallu has seen.
Reef join recently announced Saturday night headliner and guitar virtuoso Newton Faulkner; Friday night headliners The Enemy; Eighties 2-Tone legends THE BEAT, and fast rising London based band The Temperance Movement.
Also on the bill are folk star and former IDLEWILD frontman Roddy Woomble; as well as Roddy Hart & The Lonesome Fire appear in support of their debut self titled album; alt.folk-rock band The Moulettes; actor turned singer songwriter Laurence Fox (star of ITV’s Lewis); firm festival favourites The Vatersay Boys; and the set to be festival favourites of the future, retro 60s act The New Picadillys; buzz electronic act Prides, and finally two of Glasgow’s finest emerging acts Blood Relatives and Fake Major.
Camping tickets have now sold out and a very limited number of general admission tickets remain available from the usual outlets.
Tickets for this year are priced at £65. Children aged between six and 12 are £10 for the weekend and under 5s are free (anyone aged 16 and under need to be accompanied by an adult at all times).
