Referendum Q&A from Stornoway Town Hall

A BBC Scotland debate on the upcoming independence referendum was held in Stornoway Town Hall last night and saw some heated exchanged as local ‘Better Together’ and ‘Yes Scotland’ campaigners slogged it out on stage.

Western Isles MP Angus MacNeil and local businessman Gordon ‘Diesel’ Maclennan spoke in favour of voting yes while former Labour MSP Alasdair Morrison and local accountant Roddy Cunningham spoke in favour of staying within the Union.

The hour long debate, which was recorded last night, can be heard at 5pm today (Thursday 26th June) on BBC Radio Scotland.
