The A857 Stornoway to Barvas road was blocked for a temporary period today (Friday) to lift the bus which went off the road last night.
Ten passengers and the driver of the bus, which as travelling from Stornoway to Ness, were taken to Western Isles Hospital following the incident at around 10pm on Thursday evening.
Roads throughout the islands were not gritted last night and there were icy conditions in some areas.
Police confirmed there were several road accidents including the bus incident. Near the Back Recreation Centre in Lewis, a campervan left the road and rolled due to the icy conditions. No one was injured.
Earlier in the day, a car went off the road near Grimshader. The car left the road and the front of it ended up in water. No one was injured.
A driver was also issued with an ASBO in Newmarket and his vehicle was seized. The driver had received previous warnings for anti-social behaviour.
He will have to pay a penalty before the vehicle is returned.
