Royals Orb mark a tweed

Royal couple, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay were given the rare honour of officially Orb stamping a length of Harris Tweed.

The world famous trademark is normally only applied by tweed inspectors, but the Royals were given the opportunity to put the legally binding trademark in place during a visit to the Isle of Harris Knitwear Company at Grosebay.

The Duke and Duchess are in Harris this afternoon to personally mark the the centenary year of the Harris Tweed orb mark during an afternoon of engagements on the island.
