A Dutch ship which ran aground on North Uist last night is on route to Stornoway for inspection.
MV Flintspirit, which is carrying a cargo of steel and wood, hit the shore at 12 knots at 11pm but managed to refloat several hours later.
The ten crew onboard are unharmed and there are no reports of flooding, however the ship will be inspected for damage when she reaches Stornoway this afternoon.
Barra Lifeboat attended last night and Stornoway Lifeboat launched at 2.50am to escort the ship.
This comes just days after the emergency coastguard tug was removed from the Minch.
