IT’S happening on Friday evening, but there is still time to enter the second Stornoway Lunar Walk with entry forms available at Lewis Sports Centre and Sportsworld.
Starting with a pre-walk warm up at 8.30pm at Perceval Square, walkers will then set off at 9pm, following Cromwell Street and Bayhead out of town.
The route then turns up to Matheson Road at the Porter’s Lodge; down James Street; along South Beach Street and Castle Street to return to the town’s civic centre. Complete three circuits and you’ve completed the 10k walk.
It is hoped to beat last year’s record of 116 who took part in the Lunar Stroll, raising a total of £1,687, and the walk is open to all ages, male and female.
