Body found in search for missing walker

NORTHERN Constabulary have confirmed that a body has been located and recovered in the search of a missing male walker in the Cuillin Hills on the Isle of Skye.

The body has been identified as Mr Graham Grieg Paterson, aged 60, who was a Mountain guide from Carbost on Skye.

The search was sparked by a report on Thursday, December 27th, from a member of the public who saw the man fall at around 2.30pm.

Police and Mountain Rescue Teams continued to search the area around Glenbrittle on Friday (December 28th) and Saturday (December 29th), when his body was found at about 11am.

Police state that a report of the incident will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
