Here are a selection of the recent weddings and graduations that have been featured in the Stornoway Gazette.

Catriona Macdonald recently graduated Master of Architecture in Advanced Architectural Design (with Distinction) from the University of Strathclyde. Catriona, daughter of Agnes Macdonald, 24 Lionel, Ness and Alastair Macdonald, 15 Tigharry, North Uist, is now employed by Page\Park Architects in Glasgow.

John Alexander Macdonald and Christa Van Kralingen were married on 11 October at Footbridge Lodge near Auckland, New Zealand by Rev Jett Smith. John is the son of Donald & Mairi Ann Macdonald FP Manse, North Uist. They have set up home in Auckland, Christa’s home city.

Married on October 25th by the Rev John Purves, at Pollockshields Burgh Hall Glasgow, were Catherine MacDonald and Craig MaGuire. Catherine is the daughter of Donald Ban and Esther MacDonald Kyles Flodda Benbecula, and Craig is the son of Kenneth & Margaret MaGuire,Glasgow.

Calum Morrison graduated with honours in Civil Engineering from Strathclyde University. Calum is the eldest son of Ian and Alison Morrison, Clydebank and grandson of Jessie and the late Calum Macleod,

the Chalet, Knock, Point and Angus and the late Agnes Morrison of Shader, Barvas.

John James Stewart, Son of Hector & Sheena Stewart, Kallin, Grimsay, Married Fiona Maclean, Daughter of Margaret Flora and The Late Donald John Maclean, Lochmaddy, on 18th October 2013 at Lochmaddy Church of Scotland, North Uist.

Ruairidh Campbell Moir has graduated with a Masters of Architecture Degree in Advanced Architectural Design (with Distinction) from the University of Strathclyde School of Architecture. He is son of Roy and Nina Moir, 54 North Tolsta, and grandson of Etta and the late Kenneth Campbell.

Rev. Hugh Maurice Stewart, 4 Seaview, Knock, Point, son of the late Murdo Angus and Catherine Stewart married Joanne Murray, 13 Gress, daughter of Donald John and Catherine Rose Murray, on May 3, 2013. The service was conducted by Rev. Calum Iain MacLeod, Back Free Church of Scotland.
