Thinking about learning something new in 2014? The Open University is inviting local residents to find out more about their courses and qualifications at an informal drop-in event at the Western Isles Hospital on Thursday, March 6th from 1pm to 5pm.

The event will take place in the foyer, near the café where OU tutor Caroline Wilson will be available to offer advice and information to prospective students on where to start, undergraduate courses available and options for financial support including the new Part-Time Fee Grant (which could cover the cost of course fees in full for anyone who has a personal income of up to £25,000 a year).

With approximately 15,000 students, The Open University is Scotland’s leading provider of part-time higher education, offering a unique and flexible approach to learning wherever you live.

Whether you are looking to take on a new challenge for personal fulfilment, leisure or you are looking to further your career, the OU tutor will be able to point you in the right direction.
