Stornoway Trust election

Five Trustees were announced after yesterdays election for the Stornoway Trust.

Jonathan Maciver (1759 votes), Malcolm MacRae (1405 votes), Norman A Maciver (1356 votes), Cameron MacLeay (1300 votes), and Callum Ian MacMillan (1210 votes) were declared duly elected Trustees of the Stornoway Trust Estate at 9.45 last night.

Fiona Cowan, who has spent the last six years as a Trustee, received 890 votes and was not returned to the board.

Jonathan Maciver said: “I’m a little bit surprised but it’s a very good feeling and I feel it’s a good opportunity to build on the community links and hopefully use the great resources the Trust have.”
