Thirteen year old Eilidh MacLeod from Swordale, Point, student at The Nicolson Institute, competed at the Aboyne, Aberdeenshire Fiddle competition on Saturday the 4th August.

Eilidh won the Silver medal, coming in second place. First place and the Gold medal went to the 2011- 2012 All Scottish Fiddle champion George Davidson, from Aberdeen.

Eilidh is now looking forward to competing in her last competition this October, choosing to compete at the All Scottish Fiddle championships in Perth, and sadly missing out on the National Mod this year.

Eilidh is tutored by Rosemary Graham and Mr Paul Anderson Tarland.
