Hebridean Housing Partnership (HHP) and the Western Isles Forum of Tenants and Residents Association (WIFTRA) will host their annual event for Lewis and Harris tenants on Friday, May 31st.
The event, which will take the form of a light lunch, will take place in the Bridge Centre, Bayhead, Stornoway, between 11.30am and 2pm.
Tenants can drop in, have lunch and chat to staff and view the latest range of kitchens, windows, doors and heating systems currently being offered.
HHP Chair Cllr David Blaney said: “This is a great opportunity for tenants to see what HHP are doing and to give their views on our services in an informal setting.
“Tenants can come when they can manage and leave when they want. The emphasis is on informality.”
He added: “This year we particularly want to hear tenants’ views on their priorities for work in their homes as we begin to plan our investment for the years from 2015 onwards.”
During the event, there will be an activity corner for pre-school children and a free to enter raffle for each household attending with some fantastic prizes donated by HHP, WIFTRA and contractors.
There will also be information available on services provided by a range of other local agencies and an opportunity for people to talk to officers about welfare reform and the bedroom tax and worries they have about these.
Kevin Paterson Chair of WIFTRA said: “WIFTRA urges all tenants to pop along to this event, have a bite to eat and see the information available.
“It is also an ideal opportunity to meet the staff at HHP and comment on the services provided and tenants’ priorities and concerns going forward.”
