As well as bringing top-notch Scots band Mànran to the Isle of Lewis this weekend, organisers Syber Promotions have also arranged transport for those wishing to attend the two special festive shows.

Mànran will perform a Family show, open to Under 18s, from 4pm in the Barvas and Brue Community Centre on Saturday, December 21st. And a Maclennan Coaches bus will leaving from Stornoway bus station at 4pm, to leave Barvas at 7pm return.

The music-makers will then kick off a second show at 7.45pm, running to 11.30pm – a bus for which will leave Stornoway at 7.40pm and return back to town at 11.30pm.

Return bus tickets cost £6 and can be bought, along with show tickets, at the Syber Promotions website www.syberpromotions.com

Formed in 2010, Mànran has taken the Scottish music scene by storm with an irresistible mix of Gaelic and English songs.

And the band boasts one of Lewis’ own talents – Carloway’s Norrie Maciver (vocal, guitar) – who is joined by some of the country’s finest young musicians in Gary Innes (accordion, keyboards); Ewen Henderson (fiddle, highland pipes, whistle, vocals); Ryan Murphy (uilleann pipes, wooden flute); Ross Saunders (bass guitar, vocals) and Scott MacKay (drums, percussion).

The Barvas shows are set to be a night of incredible and memorable performances – make sure you don’t miss it!
