American businessman Donald Trump is to name his second golf course on the east coast of Scotland the Macleod Course, in tribute to his late mother, Mary Macleod, who was originally from Lewis.
Mr Trump visited the island back in June 2008 when he met relatives and visited the family home in Tong where his mother grew up.
Detailed designs for the golf course he plans to build went on public display for the first time yesterday (Tuesday).
The proposals for the tycoon’s second course at his £750 million resort at Menie were unveiled at a special public consultation exhibition at Trump’s Aberdeenshire estate.
