Around 25 new jobs will be created at Lews Castle as part of the development of the accommodation and hospitality element.
Luxury self catering specialists Natural Retreats are in Stornoway this week to conduct information sessions for those interested in hearing about job opportunities and potential for local businesses.
The team will be at Stornoway Town Hall on Point Street today and
They will give a presentation about Natural Retreats and Lews Castle and this will be followed by a Q&A session and then the team will be available to meet people to discuss any points further.
A spokesperson for Natural Retreats said: “If people are interested in working at Lews Castle they are invited to come along and listen to the presentation and talk to the team afterwards – there will be application forms and details on all the roles we are recruiting for.
“There are approximately 25 roles in total that we are recruiting for – these include everything from General Assistants to Catering Assistants, Chef positions, Guest Host positions, General Manager, Assistant General Manager. We would love to hear from locals who are interested in working for Natural Retreats at Lews Castle.”
The Hospitality parts of the Castle are due to open in September with accommodation opening September 2016.
The ground floor of the castle will comprise of a Museum. Natural Retreats operates all other areas which includes the function rooms (Ballroom, Library, Morning room and Bar) for small to larger functions. There will be a retail area and also café area – called The Storehouse.
