Community company, Stòras Uibhist is holding an open evening on Friday, March 18th for the official opening of the Oifis Stòras Business Centre in Daliburgh, following the major upgrade supported by HIE and Leader Innse Gall.
Members of the community are invited to attend between 3pm and 8pm to view the premises and meet with Stòras Uibhist staff and Directors. Information on Lochboisdale Port of Entry, Loch Carnan Windfarm and Estate Management activities will be on display, with refreshments served.
Willie Roe, Chair of HIE, will officially open the building at 6pm in recognition of the ongoing support of HIE for the social and economic regeneration of the South Uist Estate area.
Angus MacMillan, Chair of Stòras Uibhist said: “We see this as a positive step in engaging with the local community and being more accessible to local residents and croft tenants. The building also offers high quality offices for rent to local businesses, will assist in the delivery of the development projects and promoting the islands of Benbecula, Eriskay and South Uist.”
