As part of the Pròiseact nan Ealan ‘Gairm nan Gàidheal’ series of WWI commemorative events and exhibitions two plays were performed in Sgoil na Rubha over two nights last week.
The first of the plays was A’ Tighinn Dhachaigh (Homecoming) and was performed by Point school pupils.
The second play, Nach Fuar am Poll (A Cold Year), was performed by adults and told the story of Donald in 1922, having returned from the Great War three years previously.
His younger brother Calum is eager to hear all about the war, despite their mother having told him not to ask.
The two are cutting peats and Calum sees his opportunity to question his brother about what went on.
See above for a clip from the play.
