On Wednesday 29th of June the people of Sollas are appealing for your support.
Taigh Sgire Sholais Centre will be featured on STVs regional evening news as one of the six finalists hoping to win the prize of £60,000 which will ensure the completion of the renovations so desperately needed to the former primary school. There will then be a meeting place for young and old.
Maryann Macdonald a former pupil of Dunskellar Primary School, a mother and grandmother said: “We need this building and we need your support to turn our dream into a reality. Sollas does not have any other facility and deserves this chance to make sure Taigh Sgire Sholais Centre will be a permanent feature in the community now and for future generations.”
Eleven year old Mairi MacIntosh said: “We all love our family ceilidhs and the fun activities organised at the Taigh Sgire. Please help us by voting for our project.”
