Lewis based charity The Leanne Fund is in the running to scoop a £3,000 award having been short-listed for the 2013 Bank of Scotland Community Award.

But the Fund – which works to provide special treats and experiences for young people in the Highlands and Western Isles suffering from Cystic Fibrosis – needs your vote.

Said Fund organisers: “We are inviting all our supporters to vote for us online, in BoS branches and by SMS text message from today until November 1st.

“Please take a moment to register your vote – YOU can help The Leanne Fund win £3,000 which will provide much needed sport and fitness equipment for young people suffering from Cystic Fibrosis in your community, through our new pilot initiative ‘Get Active.”

With the aim of encouraging and promoting a more active lifestyle, The Leanne Fund’s Get Active scheme provides sports and fitness equipment and individually tailored exercise programmes to CF sufferers.

To give your vote online, visit www.bankofscotland.co.uk/communityfund and search for The Leanne Fund; to SMS text write VOTE LMTA to 82332 (charged at your phone’s standard rate); and you can also call into your local Bank of Scotland branch to make your vote.
