The West Side Locality Planning Group is holding its next meeting on Wednesday 14th December at 7pm in the Carloway Day Centre.
The group meet on a quarterly basis in rotation across the Westside from Ness to Uig to discuss issues in healthcare in our community. We have a range of visiting speakers and plenty of opportunity to ask questions of NHS and Comhairle management and clinical staff.
We are able to invite speakers to respond to specific queries so if you have something you would like to discuss it is not too late to make contact and we will try to arrange for someone to attend who can answer your question. At our last meeting Calum Russell, Lead Chaplain and Strategic Diversity Lead, came in to explain the local strategy for supporting the spiritual needs of service users across the Western Isles. Previous topics have included community meals, disabled provision in hospital, patient transport and modernisation plans for WIH.
Tea and home baking is very generously provided by the local community each time, so do come along and have a cup of tea and let us know your views on community health provision.
