A series of consultation meetings are due to be held across the Western Isles to engage with members of the public and local groups on how to reduce problem drinking and substance use across the Isles.
The meetings, held by the Outer Hebrides Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP), will focus on the group’s key result areas, which are to reduce the number of problem drinkers and substance users, to assist in the promotion of a ‘healthier Outer Hebrides’ and to focus on early years and early intervention.
The meetings will also cover how organisations can work together in partnership to tackle local alcohol and substance issues.
Service providers, service users, community groups and other interested members of the public are invited to attend one of the meetings to give their views on how services could be developed, and provide relevant feedback.
Meetings will take place as follows:
Monday 22nd August at 6pm – Castlebay Community Hall
Monday 29th August at 6.30pm – Balivanich Community Hall
Wednesday 31st August at 6pm – Tarbert Community Centre
Thursday 1st September at 6pm – Bridge Centre, Stornoway
