As soon as the referee blew his whistle to start the match Tolsta instantly started working hard as a team to frustrate the ultra-talented Back. And early on Back just couldn't get the ball on target with Tolsta looking good on the counter attack. Wh
en Back finally did find the target they found Tolsta Goalkeeper Alistair Maciver on stellar form. And it was to be a good 25 minutes before Back inevitably found a way towards the back of the net and quickly followed up the opener with another strike to go 2-0 up.
But just before half time a glimmer of hope shined through for Tolsta as they made a quick break forward, culminating with Iain Maciver setting up Alex 'Chicken' as he athletically knocked the ball past Ian 'Tohan' Macleod.
The half time whistle blew, with Tolsta still in the match. However, an injury to Alex 'Chicken' and lack of substitutes meant at half time Alistair Maciver switched from goals to up front, and 'Chicken' took his place between the sticks.
Kevin 'Bloxy' added another to Back's tally shortly after half time, and it looked like it might be a long half for Tolsta as Jack Walker added a fourth.
Tiredness eventually began to show, as Back started to win what became a battle of fitness and sub Kevin Stewart added a fifth for Back before 'Bloxy' hit a sixth.
The game was all but over but the Tolsta team never stopped trying with Stuart Macleod testing Iain 'Tohan' with a decent shot on target, and Graham Macleod working hard to keep his team in with a chance of scoring.
But that second goal never came, however a seventh did for Back as Bloxy capped off a phenomenal performance with a hat trick. A nice movement past exhausted bodies led to a good goal by Martin Maclean, who came on as a sub, then a ninth goal for Steven Campbell.
