Stornoway Golf Club is to assess its options after receiving a letter from the Stornoway Trust in regard to Sunday golf.
The Trust has stated that it is not inclined to accede to the Club's request for seven-day golf.

A statement from Stornoway Golf Club read: "Having consulted informally with legal advisers, Stornoway Golf Club management committee has agreed to defer its decision on procedure, following receipt of the letter dated 26 March from The Stornoway Trust.

"The content of that letter, with the exception of the clause 'not inclined to accede to the request', must remain strictly confidential while additional and more specific legal advice is sought and obtained."
