THE Island Doubles took place last weekend in the Sea Angling Club.
There were sixteen pairs in the competition and in the pick of the first round action was David Macmillan and Griddy surprisingly losing 4-3 to Ian Leitch and Keith.
Another shock exit was Dol Norrie and David Stewart losing 4-1 to Kenny and Murdo Alex.
Defending champions Andy and Haggis comfortably defeated Calum Ruddy and Gordon Craigie 4-1.
Into the quarter finals and Jamie and Willie Reid defeated Don and Scott 5-1.
Also going through were David and Spike winning by the same score against Kenny and Murdo Alex.
It went all the way in the next one as Mark and Eddie ran out 5-4 winners against Ian Leitch and Keith.
