Legion 4 v All Stars 5. A close game kicked off with the Legion’s Mark (140, 137, 121, 100 x 2) beating Finlay (140, 121, 100 x 3) 3 – 2, despite Finlay’s 77 finish, hitting 19, 18, D20, in the second leg.

The second game went to the All Stars as Alex ‘Momby’ Morrison (137, 134, 100 x 3) beat Dan (140, 100) 3 – 0.

The third game also went to the All Stars as Robbie (140 x 4) beat Calum Ruddy (118, 100 x 4) 3 – 0. Terry Pearce (123, 120, 118, 100 x 2) pulled one back for the Legion, beating Dave (100 x 3) 3 – 0.

The fifth singles game went to the All Stars as Murdo (140, 100 x 3) beat Beastie (138, 121, 108) 3 – 1. With the score at 3 – 2 after the singles games, both teams had it all to play for.

The triples game had Dan Calum and Terry for the Legion lose to Momby (100), Finlay (100) and Rob. At 4 – 2 to the All Stars, the Legion needed to pull something out of the doubles.

First up to the oche for the Legion were Dan (100 x 2) and Mark (100) beating Momby (134) and Willie ‘Peggs’ Davidson (116).

That left the final doubles game to take the game to a decider. Could the Legion pull it off? Yes is the answer, as Calum (135) and Terry (140, 100) beat Robbie and Murdo.

With this game being the semi-final of a trophy competition, a 4 – 4 result needed a deciding ninth game to see who would join Sea Angling A in the final.

That meant a five player 1001 game to see who would qualify.

The Legion put forward Mark (100) Dan, Calum R. (100), Terry and Beastie against Finlay, Momby (140, 100), Robbie (100), Peggs and Murdo. The All Stars managed to be victorious and went through to the final.
