BBC ALBA kicks off 'as live' SPL coverage tonight

THE first game of BBC ALBA'S SPL coverage kicks off tonight (Saturday) with an exclusive 'as live' action from the Hearts v St Johnstone match.

Tonight's game at Tynecastle will be broadcast 'as-live' at the new time of 5.30pm on BBC ALBA which is available on Sky channel 168 and on Freesat channel 110.The games broadcast on BBC ALBA will be matches that are not covered live by either Sky Sports or ESPN.

As well as full match coverage, BBC ALBA will also have an exclusive interview with Hearts Manager Jim Jefferies, a round-up of all the summer's transfer activity in the SPL, as well as a look at what goes on behind the St Johnstone dressing room door in the programme's new questions and answers feature. Saturday's programme will be hosted by Gaelic sports anchor Calum Macaulay along with Anne Morrison.

BBC ALBA is providing a premier sports package in association with mneTV covering one Clydesdale Bank Premier League match every Saturday night over the next two seasons, at the earlier broadcast time of 5.30pm.
