A 50 strong team will set off from the Butt of Lewis on Monday using just pedal power to get them to Barra.
The Emergency Services Charity Cycle has now become an annual event and last year raised over £26,000 for the local branch of Macmillan Nurses. This year they are hoping to raise just as much for the local charity.
The team hope to arrive in Barra on Wednesday afternoon. They will be collecting funds along the way and have also set up The Western Isles Emergency Services bank account at the Stornoway Royal Bank of Scotland branch where donations can be made.
They have already had great support from local businesses and will be staying in the Scaladale Centre in Harris and Sgoil Lionacleit along the way.
