A young athlete with Lewis connection has won the Scottish Junior Curling Championships 2011, along with her team mates.

Rhiann Macleod, along with team mates Eve Muirhead, Vicki Adams & Anna Sloan, won the competition which was held in Aberdeen over the last week. This team will now represent Scotland at the World Championships, which is being hosted by Scotland this year in Perth from 5th -13th March.

Rhian has strong Lewis connections. Grandaughter of Kenny John & Belle Macleod, 48 Lewis St. Daughter of Keith & Mairi Macleod, Blair Atholl.
