THE annual charity match between the Western Isles Police Service & Fire Service will take place this Saturday (17th September 2011,) 3pm kick off

No admission fee, just donations.

Current holders the Police won 3-2 last year during an exciting match. This year the Fire Service are subsequently more motivated to win the match to re-gain the shield.

All funds raised from the match will be passed to Crossroads (Lewis) the charity provides practical help to any carer in the Isle of Lewis, regardless of age, disability or illness of the person being cared for.

Crossroads (Lewis) aims to prevent carers from becoming ill through exhaustion and therefore unable to carry on caring, by providing the same care as that provided by the family.

* Hot rolls/ soups/ drinks available at the match.
