Another successful Dressage competition was held at the Lochside Arena last Saturday.

Organised by the Lewis and Harris Riding Club, the new Dressage League and Competitions will take place over the winter with different classes for beginners to experienced riders.

Judging this month’s competition was experienced dressage judge Stephen Cruickshank BHSI who kindly agreed to come over to the island for the competition.
After the event, he said: “It was very encouraging to see many of the Lewis and Harris Riding Club members supporting the Lochside Arena venue. Having the venue and the monthly dressage competitions gives riders motivation to keep their horses going through the winter months. All riders can now keep developing their horses basic training and strive to improve their dressage skills. The Competition was very well organised and professionally run, well done to the organisers.”
