ALL four remaining teams in this season’s Eilean an Fhraoich Cup still have a chance of making the final after a pair of closely fought semi-finals last night (Monday).

In Barvas the West Side hosted Back in a match in which the action, and pendulum of power, swung from end to end throughout.

The hosts raced into a 2-0 first-half lead following goals from Duncan Maclean and Scott Maciver but Back pulled a goal back through skipper Ross Hall – with a little help from the nearside assistant referee – before Jason Macleod levelled the tie in the second-half.

In the other semi final Carloway went down on home soil 2-1 against Ness. Ness led after a goal from Murdo ‘Mojo’ Maclean before Kenny ‘dokus’ Macdonald hit back for the ‘Way.

But with just five minutes left on the clock Ness won it through Stephen Boyd to give the black and green’s the advantage ahead of next week’s second-leg.
