There is now just over a week to go until the Autoparts Stornoway Half Marathon, 10k and Fun Run. The event takes place on Saturday 24th May. Entries are once again looking very healthy and a good turnout for all three races is expected, including a strong team from SRAC. Since winning last years Half Marathon SRAC’s Andy King has had major surgery to remove a tumour on his leg but is determined to once again complete the 13.1 miles to raise money for the Beatson charity. There is a link to his justgiving page on the SRAC website if anyone would like to support this inspirational runner. He may not win the race this year but just completing it will be a huge achievement!

Entry forms and online entry can be found at www.srac.org.uk. Online and postal entries close on the 17th May but entries for the Half Marathon, 10K and Fun run will be taken on Friday 23rd May in the cafe area of Stornoway Bridge Centre from 5.30 – 9.30pm. Entries for the Fun Run will also be taken on the morning of the race from 9.00 – 9.30 am but there is no entry on the day for the Half Marathon and 10K.
