Former Lewis and Harris Select skipper, and former player for Stornoway Athletic, Point and Lochs, Gordie Morrison is to be honoured for his long service with Inverness Clachnacuddin with a testimonial match.

Lined up to play Clach on Sunday, May 22, 2016, are a team of Glasgow Rangers legend, who will be managed on the day by former Ibrox favourite Fernando Ricksen.

Gordie has also confirmed plans to make a donation to MND and Fernando Ricksen as he bravely battles the debilitating illness.

Confirmed for Ricksen’s Rangers Legends are Andy Goram, Jorg Albertz, Nacho Novo, Gordon Durie, Marco Negri, Colin Hendry, Jonathon Johannson and Gary Macswegan.

The match is due to kick-off at 2pm at Clach Park and Gordie has recruited some friends from home shores to bolster the Clach squad for the match.

Colin ‘Titch’ Macritchie and Murdo ‘Griddy’ Macleod of Stornoway Athletic will both be involved as will North Uist’s Andy MacQuarrie.
