Getting ready for this year’s Santa Run

Brush down the old red suits as the annual Santa Run will be lining up for the starter’s gun this Saturday December 19th.

The event is a two mile run, jog or walk from Stornoway Town Hall to the Ionad Spòrs Leòdhais Running Track in Stornoway, starting at 12 noon.

All participants will be wearing Santa suits and the event coincides with the Lewis branch of Cancer Research UK’s annual fundraising day. All proceeds raised from the run will be given to this award winning group.

The entry fee for those over the age of 18 is £5, which includes your Santa suit, £3 if you have your own.

For secondary pupils the fee will be £3 and this includes a Santa suit, £2 if you have your own.

For primary school pupils have been asked to donate £1 and must be dressed up as one of ‘Santa’s little helpers’. Each adult can be responsible for up to two primary pupils.

Participants that have their own Santa Suit can register NOW, also Santa Suits are available at the Lewis Sports Centre.

Participants must complete an entry form and return it to Ionad Spòrs Leòdhais with the correct fee and you will collect your suit. There will be mince pies and refreshments at the finish, provided by the Lewis branch of Cancer Research UK.
