One of the most recent matches in the Lewis and Harris Darts League took place on Wednesday 10th September had Golf Club A v Sea Angling B.
The opening singles game had Paul (2 x 100) play David Heckles (3 x 100) with Heckles winning 3 – 1 to put the B team in front for an early lead.
Gordon MacLean (100) then played Ted Bainbridge (2 x 140, 2 x 100) with Ted increasing the B Team’s lead to 2 – 0 after winning 3 – 0.
Lewis MacAulay (2 x 100) then faced the B Team’s Babz MacLeod, and Babz put the match score to 3 – 0 after winning 3 – 0.
Kevin (100) was next to the oche for the Golf Club to play Willie “Peggs” Davidson (107) and Pegg’s 3 – 1 win put the B team 4 – 0 up.
Cal was the Golf Club’s final singles player and he faced Wakey. Cal (2 x 100) got the Golf Club’s first win after a 3 – 1 result after Wakey had won the first leg.
The triples saw the Golf Club present Kevin, Gordon and Cal to play Peggs, Wakey and Heckles. The score sheet does not show how this game or the doubles went, but I’ll proceed with what data I can glean. The doubles opened with Cal and Lewis play Ted (140) and Babz (2 x 100), then Gordon and Kevin played Wakey and Peggs.
A final score of 6 – 2 shows the triples and doubles did not go well for the Golf Club, but they won at least 1 of them.
